And today, I finally feel relieved.
Not because it is no longer around, cos you taught me the importance of letting go.

Another hurdle over together, and we will just get stronger:)

Bangkok Hangover: Eat like a King, Shop like a Queen!

Our Bangkok getaway was really good minus the fact that we both ended up with food poisoning on the last day and we missed the flight on the first day.

Haha but I can't believe how easy we took it.
Missed the flight by 5 minutes, bought a new ticket at double the price, here we go again!

2 years ago while waiting for Aston to open.
The same situation again! Deja Vu!
Have we changed much???

DAY 1: GLOW Platinum. Platinum mall. Yummy street food. Charcoal grilled fish. Central world. Massage. Supper.

Our hotel really made our stay more enjoyable. So spacious and homely. Plus a 200B/h massage a street away from the hotel.
Who else but the mister who always take such good care of our accommodation? :)

So hungry by the time we ventured onto the street. We tried all that we see, and spontaneously tried the roadside zichar I always wanted to try when I go BKK.
Beer with a char-grilled fish = Heavenly!

Day 2: Pork Lard Wanton Mee. BTS. Chaktuchak. Ban Khun Mae Restaurant.Siam Night Market. Thai Massage.

So glad I insisted on trying this. Pork lard coated noodle. Yumz.

Shopping at Chatuchak remains as horrendous for me on the second day.
I actually feel DEJECTED cos I couldn't get anything from Platinum and Chatuchak these two days. LOL

Thankfully the mister got loads of stuff.
Hahaha I have never seen him shopping so crazily before!

Recommended by love :)
Tripadvisor awarded it with Certificate of Excellence 2012. How to go wrong?
The prawn cake is a must try, with fresh prawn juice oozing out of the cake!
Other than that, I prefer to mingle in my Thai crowd to have my zichar! Heehee

Day 3: Pratunam Day Market. Chaktuchak. Street Food Lunch. Central world Hot Pot Place. MASSAGE. (FAVOURITE DAY!)

Guess who actually suggested going back to Chaktuchak again?
But this time, 风水轮流转.
We looked around so hard for the guys' street but in vain, but in the midst of searching, I found so many valuable buys!
Haha we actually shopped till I have no energy to call him to stop walking (what's the chance when shopping in Orchard alone will give him leg cramps)

MY FAVOURITE BUY! (For my new house next year)
Don't copy my idea ah! LOL
And I finally succumbed to a "couple tee" after hours of scorching hot shopping. (I will never agree to buy anytime! HAHAHAH)

Best dinner ever, 650baht for two buffet dinner. Eat until SHIOKADOODOO!

Day 4: Anotherhound. Terminal 21. Asiatique.

Fushion thai food- prawn bisque, damn good wings, anchovies spaghetti and mango salad steak for less than 50 bucks!
Nothing much at Terminal 21 except some camwhoring moments but I will be back for more good food!

Headed to Asiatique in the evening and it was my worst choice ever :(
Reached the station and quoted by WC "you know the place by the smell"
Headed straight in for some drinks after a short walk at their day market since the shuttle boat is only available after 4pm.

It It feels like 淡水码头 in my opinion.
Nice place away from the hustle and bustle but NOTHING TO BUY AT ALL.
Plus I am pretty sure it's the stupid dinner that cause me food poisoning the next day! :(

And since it was our monthsary that day, we stopped by for a glass of wine and to celebrate another good trip that we had :)

Day 5: Sick in the room :(
Platinum shopping. Room service. Packing luggage!

The toilet bowl was my best friend that day. Enuff said.
Hahaha best motivation out of bed ' Can I go shopping if I feel better?' #diediealsomustshop
And thanks love for the TLC the whole day :))))

And I still managed to squeeze in 1.5hour of shopping before I need to go back to the room to puke again.
End of the day, see who got more buys still? Heehee.

Spot the Phad Thai, weapon to cause WC's food poisoning when we are back.
We are allergic to restaurant food!!! Arghhh

Ending off with a pose (why that face?) before our Thai massage-
LAND OF SMILE, WE WILL BE BACK! :))

A thousand days of love

Love has been wanting to bring me to a "special date" last week.

We were supposed to go for a romantic steak dinner at Wooloomooloo (Don't even know where that was till I googled it haha)

But I waited from 5 to 6 to 7 to finally 1030 before I met WC. No thanks to his OT :(

In the end, I was instructed to meet at Kallang.
Immediately knew where we were going when I reached there!

Turned out WC wanted to celebrate our 999th day (being more mathematically inclined, I corrected him and told him it was the 1000th day instead heehee)

Where else but 126???

This scallop roll is da bomb!

Of course I won't miss out a special date like this cos it was in one of my P.P.D. heehee
Got this book for love as a reminder for us to be appreciative and keep our love tank full at all times :)

Back to where we had our first date a thousand days ago, ordered the same if not more food, but the feeling is entirely different.
I always tell him, I am not good at expressing my thoughts in words.
Thankfully, I found someone who can understand me well without saying much :)
Let's continue to love each other, irritate each other for the next thousands of days.
Love you poky!

It's all about food!

Bored while waiting for WC to end work so I end up doing a mini blog post.
Supposed to go for dinner at 8 but I guess I might need to tahan till 10 lo.

Accompanied mummy to eat Kway Chap on Sunday and this by far, has to be my favourite since young.
Nothing beats the kway chap here.
All my friends I brought to try gives two thumbs up to the food!

Amoy Street Food Center was pretty dead on a Sunday afternoon, but it's pretty amazing to see a steady flow of customer waiting patiently for their kway chap here.

No wonder they won several nominations on teevee shows! (i.e. makansutra)

*slurp slurp*
Gonna go back next Thursday with WC for these!!

Stuck in the West for the past three days for conference.
What is nice in Jurong Point?
Colleagues and I tried out this A ONE Claypot House  (many branches in food court)
Nothing amaze me, except their one cup 50 cents yet no refill ice water! :(

Met up with bestie yesterday.
Since I was in town looking for some stuff, we headed to OC for dinner.
Nothing flashy about Ootoya
First time trying but not impressed by the food at all.
$25++ for a Tonkatsu set, I rather go back to Saboten at Millenia Walk .

But their 1 for 1 dessert is pretty worth it for $7. Heehee

How often will she pose so sweetly for me?

Meddling with my phone and I accidentally added some unredo-able effect onto my photo. haha

And as if I have not eaten enough this week, my ever generous boss treated us to a sumptuous lunch at Watami!

Enough of eating this week!
Gonna save my tummy for Friday.
I AM GOING TO BANGKOK TO FEAST!!!
Finally to the land of smile. Haha all the shopping and tomyum and massage is making me even more excited than my NZ trip last year.

These food pictures are making me too hungry.
Booboo please end work soon! haha

The sun, the sand, the fun, the food and friends! :)

Team bonding with the colleagues on Thursday.
When was the last time we build a sandcastle on the beach?

Guess which is ours?

Thank god for the beautiful weather and my beautiful colleagues! :)

We ended the week with a good Korean dinner!

Strongly recommended by LMH, surprisingly easy to find. 3 minutes walk away from 112 Katong

At about $42 pax for a BBQ buffet, it's pretty worth it for the freshness and variety.
Not to mention their two-thumbs-up service :)

Every paying adult comes with a free main course, most of them selected the clear beef soup .

Not a fan of beef, I took the spicy tofu soup.
A tad oily but yumsss!

We got a private room to ourselves when we spent above $200.
It is not difficult when we have 6 paying adults (Note: but you risk stinking like a BBQ pork cos the room has rather poor ventilation)

Look at the array of food!

Really satisfied with the meal!

Another reason why I was so happy during dinner!
OMG SOOOO CUTE!!!
I managed to play with the baby for about 5 minutes before he fell into a deep sleep.
I was so in love with the baby Pat wanted to hire me as his Friday night nanny to take care of his baby. Heehee.

And LMH became the babysitter for his other two sons.
Haha Pat and his wife were so happy to enjoy their meal in peace.
Look how much fun the trio were having plyaing 一二三,木头人!

Ending off the post with the cutest baby!
