Bridesmaid get together!

Had a bridesmaid get together last weekend.
I am honestly not very good at multi tasking. Planning for a home and wedding at the same time is no easy feat. While you are looking for the lights in your house, you are thinking about what to have at your solemnisation table.
It really decrease my efficiency level by ALOT. FML.

I NEED A TIMELINE!
And it doesn't help when school is starting in a month's time.

Side track too much, back to this.
My sisters have been asking me for a get together for everyone to know each other. But honestly, most of them know each other for more than a decade already. 熟到烂 already!
But we still decided to go ahead cos it's fun!

And I decided to make something for them.
I can only conclude my art sucks. Because this has been on my to-do-list for the longest time, I couldn't come up with  satisfactory gift. Dunno change how many times before I finalise on this. (Partially cos they were coming the next day haha)

So my bridesmaid team consist of my girls who were with me since Secondary school (same class all the way somemore), my closest hallmate and of course my sister! Bring it on, groomsmen!

Not just the most fun people to hang around with, they are the most chop-chop group.
Came and prep all the food for me.

Then we started planning for the wedding. They pointed out all the stuff I missed out so now all I need to do it to finalise it. (It's actually ALOT of stuff that I overlooked. Hahaha.)
Gate crash also done. Swee.

Then time for the dress! So glad they were all happy with what my minimal artistic talent can produce and all busy instaagramming after receiving it. Haha.
Yay! Bridesmaid stuff done. One more thing off the list!

End this off with some photos that I got from my photoshoot.
I am so happy with it and I can't wait to receive my edited album!
Despite WC's countless protest to only show our pictures during the wedding, I feel the urge to share cos I am so in love with it! HAHAHA.

So gonna put it at our place in future! Mad loveeeeeeeeeeeee

I am getting hitched!

It has got to be the best weekend for me ever cos WC proposed to me over the weekend!

It was really unexpected cos he has been asking me how to approach my parents to ask for my hands plus I thought this guy obviously will not propose to me on our anniversary cos he has been dropping too many hints on how we are going to celebrate it.
And since we met almost everyday, there's no way he can ever do it.
(I even "encourage" him not to meet me so he got time to start thinking about the proposal! HAHAHAHAHA)
So in conclusion, I thought he will never propose to me that weekend! In fact, probably only after he comes back from the States!

The girls and I had already made plans for brunch last Friday at Au Chocolat a few days ago.
Little do I know that WC had already liaise with Van before that and he caught me by surprise when I saw him after coming back from the toilet.
I was still texting him a few minutes before that, sending him pictures of the nice food we were having.
But since he ALWAYS likes to take leave without telling me, I supposed it was a mini surprise for me since our anniversary is just the day after.

So we parted ways and headed off to accompany him for lunch.
(Come to think of it, who still have the mood for DTF when he is about to propose???
Somemore still eat $30+ worth of food alone! LOL)

Took a stroll around MBS and we were reminiscing about our little memories we have there.
I seemed to be helping him to execute his plan cos I was complaining how hot I felt shortly after that so it gave him an excuse to take me indoor to the basement carpark!
I was really surprised, "anniversary still must rent car meh?"

We drove to Keppel Bay after that (this place holds some significance to us) and I was like "wahh.. want to continue reminiscing arh?"

And then, WC suggested a picnic.
The weather was sweltering hot at 3! But I decided to be a good girl that day and follow his plan.
So the boy went back to the car to get the stuff he has prepared for the picnic.
Now that I think back, I wonder why I did not suspect anything. Usually I would have preempt all these before he can execute it! (yes, I know I am a spoiler!)
In fact, I just sat quietly at the tent and started snapping some 'Agoda-worthy' pictures! Hehe.

He returned shortly, perspiring like mad. I wonder if it was because he felt really hot or cos he was very nervous. Haha I think it's the former la.
Then I saw the bouquet of flowers in his hands.
The flowers and colour look too much like a proposal bouquet so I began to suspect something. And that got me a little flustered, cos I don't deal well with surprises. LOL.
After that, my mind seems to blank out because I was too nervous.

He sent me an audio file which he insisted I must open via the music player.
I was already very pekcek cos I was clueless about what's going on but my heart melted when I heard the song. The lyrics were damn touching can!

Some time back (actually I forgot about it), I asked him if i am ever going to get a self composed song from him.
And on this special day, I got a song from him to me.
He told me this song holds some significance to him cos he promised himself to sing this song to the girl he wanted to marry in future.
Awwwww...

I think he will kill me if I upload his version, but my favourite version by 方大同 is enough to make me tear as I am typing this.

Before I can recover from that, you see someone taking a deep breath, kneeling down before me.
So so so so shocked can!

당신은 저와 결혼 할 것인가?
In Korean some more! How to say no? Hahahaha

As much as we were happy, we were tired beyond words.
My mind was still in a whirlpool and have no mood for dinner, but WC insisted on a celebration although he doesn't have much appetite either.

We had a quiet dinner at Tamarind Hill.
Kudo to WC who always have everything so well planned. It was a perfect place for us since we were not in the mood for fine dining, so Thai food is such an ambience makes up for everything :)

Headed home to tell my family the good news and I am so happy to receive the blessings from all of them!
Daddy never said a single word, but I know he was happy beyond words cos I have never seen him grinning like this before :)
My friends were telling me I will be too excited to sleep that night.
But guess the surprise did zap too much of our energy, we concussed immediately after heading home!

******
Without doubt, that was the most magical day of my life.
You always ask me what kind of proposal I would want. To be honest, I don't even know myself.
But you created the most magical moment, where everything is so meaningful and precious there's nothing more I can ask for.

Thank you baby for making me the happiest girl that day. From that day on as we start a new phase of our life together as one.

I love you!

February in a glance

February flew past really quickly and March is coming real soon!
It has got to be the most happening month this year with all the feasting and catching up with family and friends :)
The first reunion dinner was done with my ladies and thanks to Serene's recommendation, I had the most authentic Korean dining experience thus far!

왕대박 Wang Daebak is a Korean restaurant located in the midst of the shophouses in Amoy Street.
The price is slightly of the steep end but the freshness of the food and service was daebak!
The three of us wiped out the table worth of food! :)

Getting into the CNY mood! HUAT AH!

It's always funny how everyone is always so busy on CNY eve and the street is so empty on 初一.

Visiting River Angbow is on our CNY to do list every year.
I love immersing in the CNY mood and taking touristy photos with all the auspicious figurine and decoration around.
Makes me feel very HUAT. Hahahaha

It's darling's agenda to play some Uncle Ringo game at the funfair every year.
Make him pose with his win after the game and see how awkward he looks with the carebear-wannabe soft toy! LOL.
We headed to the claws machine in MS and WC wanna continue his winning streak at the claws machine.
And guess wad, we won on our first attempt!
Lucky or what??? Now my elmo has got himself a companion!

Valentines Day was a simple event this year.
Since it falls on a weekday, we spent the day in.
Whipped up a simple meal for him and we spent the night snuggling in bed, checking out our little handmade gifts and seeing how people spent their Valentines via fb update. haha.

And the best part, WC finally agreed on our June vacation and we are going to BKK for some good food, shopping and massage soon!

The CNY celebration continues over the weekend..
Headed to danjakk's place for our annual steamboat and ban luck session.
Love the food that aunty prepares for us! The best steamboat I had this CNY:)
I can't wait to head to her new place next year for reunion though we need to help out cos ahem.. the BFF is not as zai as aunty in house chores and cooking yet! LOL.

Steamboat again at Weixiong's place on Saturday.
WC's childhood friends are really a fun bunch to be with.. so much laughter over lunch and Ah Huat 白咖啡 in our BJ session :)
We can't wait to host them in our new place in future too! :)

Helped out at a friend's wedding on last Sunday.. In fact since Saturday night.
It wasn't exactly a pleasant experience (so sad, it was my first time) but there were of course some happy moments.
In this blog, we only see the happy memories we have during the wedding! :)

There is really soooo much to prepare for a wedding.
And in the midst of the preparation, I forged some new friendship with my beautiful sisters and they reminded me that we need to treasure and appreciate friends we have around us.
I am still recuperating from the lack of sleep the past week though I napped almost every day the past few days.
It must be 初老症状第一条(if you get what I mean). heehee.
Thankfully it's Friday! Gonna rest well this weekend and enjoy the last bit of CNY! :)

P.S, We love you :)

It was my cousin's wedding on Sunday.
The whole family was pretty excited cos it's the first wedding from my generation and the last one in my family was 20 years ago! LOL.

Everyone was up bright and early to my uncle's place for the tea ceremony.
Camwhoring before the bride and groom arrives!

Girls power! :)

It was so agonizing waiting for them to arrive.
We were camping at the front door waiting for the lift to reach the 30th level.

And finally! The matchmaker!

Pretty bride and handsome groom!

My cousin's stunned face. Cos we told him he needs to go through another round of gatecrashing before he can enter his home. Haha.

Smart me quickly snapped a picture with the bride before the tea ceremony.
It was our first time seeing her and she's really pretty! :)

And everyone started taking picture with her. haha

Look how happy Grandma is at the tea ceremony.
Think she's the most excited of all.. Calling up her children everyday, buying jewelry and thinking how much ang pow to wrap. haha.

Offering tea to the elderly..
It was so funny cos everyone was so nervous when it was their turn to be served.

And we have to serve tea to the newly wed too!
嫂嫂's request. LOL.

While the older generation were wishing them 早生贵子, we were reminding our cousin to bring us ang pow during CNY next year! HAHAHA

Headed to my cousin's new place cos they have some 跳床 ceremony.
And this little darling captures my heart the whole day.
Sooooo cute!

He was so shy at first until they gave him a Thomas the train as an incentive to jump on the bed.
Still a little shy until his father use the ultimate plan- Gangnam style!
And this little angel shows his devilish side, rolling and jumping around. HAHA.

Headed home for a little rest before going to their Solemnization at Goodwood Park Hotel.

My pretty cousins:)

Aunties with the groom.. My cousin looks really good that day, doesn't he?

The newly wed and their family

The little heartthrob who refuses to take picture with me :(
Love his little bow tie and suspenders!

After my grandma, the next person who was so excited over the wedding must be my sis. Haha.

The newly wed, looking really good :)

It was my first time attending a dinner by the pool side and it was sucha cosy affair.

And a very different wedding token

So good to see granny so happy! :))

 Love love love this!
My cutest grandma and cousin :)

The little cutiepie was shouting at the top of his voice during the toast. How cute can he get??

Then we started goofing around the poolside

Failed attempt to throw the groom into the pool and got a super ugly expression captured. Roarr.

Wedding is such a beautiful event and I love to sink in the atmosphere of love and happiness, especially in a family wedding!
I still remember my cousin staying over at my place when I was younger and he was my favourite playmate then. Haha now we are all grown up and he's married! Can't wait for the wife to join in our future family gathering and know her better :)

Have a blissful marriage Pei Sen and Wei Xin!
P.S. We love you! :))
