W for Christmas!

Guess where we spent our Christmas this year?

The night was spent with my favourite people!
We had a potluck party at W and I prepared fried beehoon and potato salad.
Heehee I guess it tasted and looked not bad cos they received many praises that night!

I just realised the picture of our food was blur and these are all that I have :(
Our East meet West buffet spread!
Love the sio ba and roast chicken the most!

My favourite part in the room!
Haha didn't bother to take a picture of the room cos it was already messed up by the three of them who were there earlier :p

Took a stroll around W before the rest arrive.
It's really in a world of its own like a little neighbourhood.

Chilling at the poolside with the bubble chair.

Call me siao zar bo!

So festive with Christmas caroling at the lobby.
Blur again! Why??? :(

Played lots of lame games during the night.
I laugh so hard till I almost lost my voice!
Love the game 'Heads up Charade!', I was so excited to share the game with them after trying out with Jia.
We ended up having loads of fun giving super dumb hints to the words.

Why so agitated?

Made all of them pose with the log cake that KS brought.
Fist palm, like-a-boss, planking, yoga.. See how wacky my friends can be!

First time trying out Secret Santa with them and it's so much fun!
We hid hints and the presents around the room and ended up discovering others' present while looking for our clues. #epicfail
We were laughing so hard at Bella and Lena, giving them 'hot and cold' clues to their presents because the two seemed to be blinded. They can't seemed to see the clue no matter how much we hint them, not to mention the clue was pasted right in front of them.

Hello Secret Santas!

A pixelated picture with my darlings and long lost friend, Carlos!

Ending off the post with a present I really love from Chuck!
Superhero lego keychains for each of us!
Merry Christmas one and all!

Another blessed Christmas with you :)

We did an early celebration this year cos we will be having a staycation with our friends on Christmas eve.
I was really excited about it because I love dates with WC, especially when he took leave specially to accompany me! *beam*

He promised me a BIG surprise for Christmas and I was really surprised by the sweet act of the boy!
Haha Jia was suspecting WC got me a Wii (which I seriously doubt) cos he says he needed a big space.
Turned out he prepared 10 presents for me which he lay out on the floor!
But...
.
.
The saying, there's no free lunch in the world is never wrong.
Haha cos I need to answer a question before I can open a present and a forfeit if I got it wrong! *Roar*

I am supposed to assign one question to each present..

Woo.. ALL MINE!!!

In the end, we spent an hour plus unwrapping all the gifts.
Some gifts made me laugh like mad, some gifts made me "angry", but I love all the gifts from him cos they were all so thoughtful and really warm my heart :)

Headed down to town after that for our Christmas movie that I have been bugging him to watch.

My favourite character! So stupidly funny!!!!
Frozen is such a beautiful and heartwarming movie. I was immediately put into the festive mood with the beautiful singing in the enchanting snow fairyland. Definitely one of my favourite movie! :)

And WC treated me to our Christmas dinner at Togi!
Heehee I told him it could be a prelude to our holiday destination next year and he is finally considering it! Yay!!

The boy looking very happy cos I managed to surprise him with his present!
He thought I didn't have the time to get it for him but I got it ready weeks ago!

Can you tell I wrapped it using construction and tracing paper? LOL.

With the love of my life :)
Christmas is blessed because I have you :)

Happy Birthday Ahma!!

Hello it's my 100th post!
I keep thinking my 100th post should be dedicated to something more meaningful, and the longer I procrastinate, the lazier I am to blog.
That explains why the last blog post was more than a month ago!!

Been really busy recently. Just ended my inter-sem (but I am still struggling with my assignment!), did a week BKK trip with my sister and flying off again to Nepal this weekend.
So sad, I think I am feeling this emotionally instability because I haven't seen WC for the longest time! LOL

Since my cousin finally uploaded my grandma's birthday photo, Ahma's birthday it shall be!
The usual potluck.

The usual gang :)

Siblings and mum!

The two 歌神 in our family. Hahaha no one can ever do a duet with them!

See so focused. haha

"Why you photobomb me?"

This is better!

WC and my ingenious idea this birthday!

But see how happy my ahma is!

She couldn't stop laughing at the 寿桃 we have to pause the birthday song singing for her to catch her breath from laughing so hard before continuing.

Rose among the thorns at home!

*say cheese with a baby 寿桃*

One with the 大女人s at home

And another one with the 小女人

We love you ahma! May everyday be as joyful and blessed for you.
Wishing you the best of health today and everyday!!!

Strangers' Reunion

My dear friend just returned from her Sri Lanka and I can't wait to hear all about her adventure.
Decided on Strangers' Reunion because I was so tempted by all the pretty posts and review of it on Instagram.
A pretty short walk from Outram MRT abeit the drizzle.

Love how unpretentious the place look, with Chinese water painting in the midst of the aromatic coffee and eclectic design. They fit surprisingly well though.

I am not a fan of brunch, so was there mainly for the waffle.
It's one of the better waffles in town, love the airy waffle that blends in so well with the creamy buttermilk ice-cream.

Our first try at spam fries but they fail us badly :(
Too thick and soggy for spam fries and it tastes exactly like the 午餐肉 my mummy always make to go with plain porridge.

But this makes up for it.

And of course a pretty coffee to complement the rainy weather :)

We never run out of stuff to talk about.
Talking about putting two introverts together. Hehe.
By the time we remember a photo together, we were done with our food already.
Because it got pretty crowded by noon, we headed to some random coffee place for another drink and unknowingly chatted till 4 before we left.

And since we are talking about food, another food haunt that we will definitely go back again for the cake.
The Mille Crêpes at Lady M is to die for!
I thought the one at Paris Baguette was good but this was 10 times better! There is a tinge of burnt caramel in every mouth we bite into.
WC is already asking me to get that as his birthday cake next year. LOL.

My current obsession.

And a very cute thumbdrive that WC got for me from Mos Burger :)
Just have to spend $15 and make purchase using NETS.
I guess there is only very limited stock cos we purposely headed down to two branches before we got it!
