A home is where the heart is

I foresee the weekends getting more crazy because our home is here!

Got off work early last Wednesday to collect our keys!
That feeling is so surreal, haha WC's hands were sweating when we were queuing up for the turn.
And while the officer was briefing us about which forms to sign etc, my mind was just focused on the keys.
Haha even she can tell, she told WC, " you take care of the admin, your wife just wants her keys!"

And so they say, " Content makes the poor man rich".
We are now the happiest poor man around.

It's so fun now to shop in Courts now, because it seems like we can buy everything!
Planning together which will be the best teevee for our room, WC choosing an oven for our kitchen so he can do roast chicken for us in future. Love it!
Of course, this definitely calls for a celebratory meal!

We had Crystal Jade steamboat at Toa Payoh since we were at HDB.
They now adopted the buffet style which I preferred, but their variety got lesser than before.
Already very little variety to begin with, now they removed even the dumplings and fish :(
Need to start looking around for new hotpot haunt soon.

The very heh-pi man. Geddit? (heh = prawn) and the staff who heh-ppened to photobomb our picture.
She looks like she's posing but I think she happened to look in our direction cos someone called her. Haha.

WC commented I looked really tired here.
I really am lo.. the emotional rollercoaster is no joke.
Going to work ==> looking forward to get your key ==>then suddenly you are the owner of a flat with your what, a man everyone starts addressing as your hubby??
Hahaha. a lot to absorb lo.

I think he felt likewise too.. Shagged.

**************
And on Sunday finally, we stepped foot into our new place!
Breakfast with the family before a long walk into the estate. Everywhere is blocked because they are still constructing pavements and doing some planting works.
And it doesn't help when the weather is scorching hot!

Happy us when we opened our door for the first time :)

And boy, we love our new place to the most-est! (Bear with my broken English, haha I just need to show how much we love it)
Firstly, the place is shady and the only place with the scorching sun is the service yard where we will be hanging our laundry. So much win!
Secondly, our place faces the park and not the road. So say no to the dust and noisy roads!
And my favourite of all, it's just a few minutes walk to the MRT. Shiok or what?

So while daddy and WC were busy checking the defects, mummy, Jia and I went around exploring and preparing the fengshui setup I found online.

I had a little tiff with WC because he called me aunty Tan when I wanted to prepare those stuff.
I am not superstitious but better be safe than sorry mah.
But ahem.. someone ended up really proud of me for doing up those stuff. Heehee.

A sneak peek into our home.
Good view right?
With the setup in the middle of the living room. Haha.

We even attempted a selfie when we left the house.
So fun and funny at the same time!

We even took a video of ask shouting auspicious words at every room.
We were so high, especially daddy it looks damn hilarious.
Dunno why cannot load here.

We took a nap at WC's place before heading back to our house for the second time in the evening. (Did I mention we can walk from our new place to his home too?)

This time with his mum and sis.
This time we were smarter and took an alternative route so we did not have to walk that far.
Plus this time, there is evening breeze too!
Woohoo received good feedback from his family as well!
Aunty was so funny cos she was chanting 大吉大利 at every room she went to, and telling us about what we need to do when we officially move in.
Hahaha think I found my soulmate, cos only WC's mum nodded in approval of my fengshui setup.
"Wahh where you learn from? Internet got teach such things arh?"
Heehee.. So much win!

We were so shagged by the end of the day but so happy that we are one step closer to our dream home.

A bit random but some pictures of our dinner that day.
Really love the food from 店小二
Damn ex but damn shiok. Haha.

My must have all the time.

I don't like this. WC finishes it all. Haha.

I swear this will be a dish I learn to cook before I become a part time housewife.

简单就是美. . their soup never fails.

No prize for guessing where we head to after dinner.
Haha Courts and Gain City are our next new shopping malls.

Goodbye Superbowl

The past weekend was wedding preparation week!
We had our first casual photoshoot with Weizhen and Yuli last Saturday and it was surprisingly fun!
I am usually not a photo person because I deemed myself not as photogenic (maybe prettier in real life Wahahahaha.)

Thankfully WC was really good at that, even Weizhen commented that WC seems very experienced in that.
He even guided me on how to pose and ask me to look in his eye etc and on the contrary I was just goofing around, like a little kid being told to settle down and pose for picture.
We even head down to the supermarket while shooting and avoiding the security guard at the same time.

Maybe cos it's because of their professionalism we felt at ease very quickly, and that's why the shoot was so smooth.
Not to forget we were blessed with beautiful weather that day!
Now I can't wait to see the photos! Keeping my fingers crossed I don't look too unglam laughing with my mouth wide open!

We took a really long nap cos we were so tired, and head out for dinner at Miam Miam at night- Because everything gives us a reason to celebrate.
The queue at Miam Miam was really long!
But we didn't really have to queue long cos we took a much shorter time than the rest of the patrons to choose our food so we were ushered in shortly after we started queuing.

The Reds head out after a good nap!

The wait for the food was really long too.
The mains took about half an hour interval to come. I guess it was because they came in batches.
THE BLACK INK SQUID RICE IS A MUST ORDER!
A very simple dish with seafood and rice fried in squid ink and very buttery scrambled egg lying over it, but it's so yummy we polished everything up.
Haha we keep raving about it while eating, so you can imagine how good it is.

And maybe the first dish was so good, this fails in comparison.
It is souffle over fried rice, but there are not much ingredient in the rice, except a few chunky pieces of ham. Souffle and rice just does not go in my opinion. Haha.

And I was laughing at the opposite table cos the two guys ordered the same souffle rice and look so disgruntled while eating.

Dessert was souffle again but we were quite sick of it after the souffle rice.

And a free pancake cos we use DBS promotion!

And WC got me this drink cos he knows I love berries :)

Sunday was another fruitful day for me.
Spent the morning making ondeh ondeh with sis (will update in another post) before heading out for some wedding planning.
We decided to take a break and head for our arcade break.
Then we realise it was the last day of operation for Superbowl, so we decided to do some bowling instead on its last day!
Superbowl has been one of our more frequent dating place ever since WC shifted home.
Our usual fish head steamboat and arcade breaks after dinner has become part of our favourite weekly pator activities.

Had a bet with WC, he had to score 2.5 times my score and the loser had to give a treat.
I sucked at bowling.
Like that also can lose!!!

A date with Cony and Brown!

So glad for the public holiday break that dismisses my Monday blues!

Started the holiday with some selfie time with this cutiepie

And a date with my colleagues and their plus one at Brotzeit.
WC was supposed to join us but he ended up workiing OT :(
I secretly think the robots hate me, cos they always cranked up on PH eve. Roarrrrr.

A platter is a must have at Brotzeit.

The very sweet couple :) Minus that photobomb aunty behind who keeps hogging onto the seat.

Everyone says cheers to a good holiday!

And the next day, the mister had to check out his robots again before he meets me.
So I headed to town to do my nails while waiting for him.
Headed to town cos we need to get the shirts for his photoshoot, and we got some good deal from G2000 because they were having some mid season sale. Shiokadoodoo.

Then we headed to the LINE popup store FINALLY!!
Actually it was WC who wanted to go, but I ended more excited than him. Like what's new?

All  my faces cos someone is too shy to pose with his favourite brown.
And I will be risking my life if I posed a picture of him acting cute with Brown.
Muahahaahha.. I shall save that for my own eye then.

One with my Brown :)

And we started queuing up cos we saw people queuing, not knowing what we are queuing for.
Not bad la, spin the wheel and win some LINE merchandise.

Nothing much to buy in the store cos no harm heading down for some photos if you like LINE.
Ending 22 May if I am not wrong :)

Headed down to 四马路 to get our auspicious timing for the wedding.
It's so funny how I actually feel excited when planning out the itinerary for our actual day.
Like I can feel my heart beat faster when I imagine the scenario on that day.
Haha damn drama I know.
Beginning to feel the jitters but okay la, still a chillax bride-to-be!

Mother's Day celebration!

Think I am falling sick soon (
Feel a little under the weather recently and I hope it doesn't escalate to a fever.

Had been busy celebrating and eating the last two weeks because of Mother's Day.
It is always like a get together for the family over a good meal to give thanks to the mummies who had work so hard the whole year round!

Treated the family to buffet lunch at Tung Luk.
Mummy wanted something Asian yet buffet, so Tungluk is the best choice.
They serve pretty good food though their service needs a little more improvement in my opinion.

And as the quality of the pictures taken on my phone continues to deteriorate, I can only rely on others for pictures to feed this blog of mine :(

A picture together after the meal is a must!
Mummy says she want to try a picture without her glasses but I think she looks better with her glasses, don't you think?

Daddy and Mummy <3

And one of sis and mummy :)

My favourite photo cos it consists of all the people dearest to me <3<3<3

Accompanied mummy to OG after that to try out some dresses for my wedding.
Hahaha we had so much fun trying out while the two men just sit around and wait.
I think it's time we bring mummy out for a shopping session soon without the men of course!

And dinner was done at a zichar near my aunt's place to celebrate for grandma.
We had two full tables to celebrate for grandma but none remembered to take any photos.
At least Jia took some pictures of the food!

The seafood claypot vegetable with the super smooth sea cucumber *slurp*

Seafood youtiao. So nostalgic. Quite happy to have this cos I hadn't had this for a long time.

My favourite all time!

We ordered so much there was almost no space to put on the table.
Zi Char is best when you have a big group to eat together.
WC and I always ordered the most 3 dishes and we will be too stuffed for me.

And last Saturday was to celebrate great grandma's birthday.
The maternal side is so different from my paternal side.
We had more than 10 tables dinner banquet to celebrate the occasion.
Haha sometimes it feels like a wedding, they wheeled great grandma around to catch up with all of us and you can tell she was so happy to see everyone.

We had such good food and these are only some of them

One picture with Shermz.
She's tempting me so much get a Z2!
Look how good the picture is without editing even under low light.
Tried out the same pose with Note 3 but fail!

Sunday was a really tiring day for us, cos we have to 赶场 to celebrate for our two beloved mummies!
Lunch at Imperial Treasure steamboat with Wee Cheng's family.
First time trying and I love their sauces and aunty had so much fun experimenting with the sauces. Haha.

We had the ginseng soup which feels very nourishing to us.
See the big ginseng. haha

Our live soon hock that was damn shiok with their warm soy sauce.

Some pictures that I remembered taking..

WC paid about $240 for the meal, but it's not as fantastic as I thought it would be.
The only thing I liked was the soup.
The same price would give me better food at 海底捞 and JUMBO!

The mandatory shot before lunch! :))

Shopping with his family after lunch and oh boy, we shopped for 3 hours straight!
Damn tired after that and we concussed after sending his mum home.
We had to rush back home to do a second round of celebration for mummy cos my very sweet sis felt that we can't not do anything on Mother's Day itself :)

Jia prepared everything singled handedly!

And I got mummy a cake :)

My cheeky dad!

And my cheeky family! Haha

Happy Mother's Day Mummy!
May you be blessed with the best of health and happiness everyday! :)
