The steamboat week!

Taking time to blog while waiting for work to start :(

Sis and I prepared a simple steamboat for dinner cos she was having a really strong craving for it.
I decided to make something different from the usual fishball and crabsticks..

Tada! My coca- inspired chicken balls! Haha surprisingly yummy!!

Steamboat again with the bff cos we backed out from the idea of having Korean BBQ last minute. Cos I didn't want my hair to stink!! Didn't realise Novena has a 辣妹子 besides the branch at Bugis. Not exactly the best steamboat around, but $18 for an air-conditioned place for us to eat our steamboat in comfort, why not? :)

And a must go when you go Novena! My favourite Mao Shan Wang!!

This week was a good week cos Public Holiday was smacked right in the middle of the week. It always make the work week seems shorter.

Love and I decided to do some prata as our Deepavali "celebration". It was surprisingly good cos it's not oily at all.. Just that for the same price we pay, we could get double the portion in a hawker centre..

Spot the man!

And we finally got our racquets! Yayyy! A good start to our aim to start a healthy regime. We were so excited we headed to the void deck to play immediately after getting the rackets. Haha. Can't wait to start our first session this Sunday!

You are my reason to smile :)

November has got to be my favourite month this year cos we finally got our flat!!!

I was so excited I secretly checked the result first though I promised WC we will check it together. heehee. Imagine our joy when we saw the email! Can't wait for the selection of the flat! :)))))

Call us kiasu . Haha we actually headed down to the site to check out the flat even before we got it
This feeling is so surreal, but I like it. Another milestone together!:))
Just talking about our future home, coming up with 1001 ideas of what we want is a feeling I cannot describe but treasure and look forward to. And it so happen it's our monthsary so it has got to be the best monthsary present ever!

9 storeys and building :)

Marche for dinner but just pictures of food cos we forgot to take pictures of ourselves as always :(

And though I was so excited recently I forgot it's our monthsary today, Happy 26th pok! Thank you for always being them to love and bringing me a thousand reasons to smile everyday. *muackies*

I heart instagraming!

Had lunch with my colleagues one day at Chinatown. Love this so much cos the chicken is so tender. Been having it since I was young <3

Dessert with bestie at Island Creamery

Teochew mui with love at Kovan cos the poor boy was sick. I feel that these food stores are so expensive nowadays. This meal costs us $10+!

Department lunch at Coca after work. Love love love their wanton and chilli!

Baking session with the sister. Ohhh so pretty! <3<3

We love IKEA CHICKEN WINGS AND MEATBALL! I don't think they are as nice anymore but the combination is just FANTAS-BULOUS!

Finally gotten our winter wear and heat-tech from Uniqlo!

The sweet boyfriend downloaded all the show into my ipad so I won't feel bored on my way to Malacca :)
I am feeling a little upset now that I have finished the show and the other shows in my computer can't entice me as much as this :(

Finally some chendol from Old Town Coffee after I am back. But nothing beats the authentic one we had in Malacca.

Old school drinks at the Singapore Flyers:)

Baked some butter cookies for WC and sis cos they both looked so stress from work and studies. They turned out really nice with a zest of lemon fragrance *yummz*

Some love from my pupil's parents <3<3<3

It's TGIF! Hope it will be a good weekend ahead after being sick for a week :(

We love XXL Pizza!

Had a meetup with the gang last Sunday for some pizza and to see the new addition to our family! haha.

Headed to Peperoni Pizzeria that was highly recommended by Bella. The picture was a little blur as I took it in a rush before everyone swarm for the food. haha.

Calarmari Fritti was quite normal in my opinion.
First time trying squid pasta! Yummeh!

The highlight of the day! It's seriously huge and the 6 of us have problems finishing it. The crust was really thin and nicely done. I can't remember what we ordered (pancetta i think), that was really good! The peperoni was a tad too oily and salty for our liking.

We can't help but camwhore with it

A group picture together <3

They have a nice cosy setting for chillout with friends and birthday celebration. The table beside us ordered 3 XXL pizzas. Wonder how they can finish them!

End off the post with a picture of my pretty ladies :)

Our not-so-scary Halloween

We wanted to head down to the USS for their Halloween night this year but it clashes with the day I came back from my Malacca work trip.

So we headed down to the Flyers for their FrightFest instead since they also have some halloween event on. We had a nice chillout by the river, enjoying the breeze and beautiful view.

The old school food food court

The fright night doesn't look scary at all (after hearing all the raves about the one at USS) and we could actually see part of the trails from the 2nd level. No point going so we headed for their outdoor movie screening.

Pretty fun hanging out watching a movie together. Families and couples actually prepared food and picnic mats for the event! Since it was an impromtu session for us, we had POPEYES!

Headed down to the ACM after that since the night was still young. It was quite funny to see their staff dress up as ghosts and monsters. Took pictures with two we deemed more "scary". I was leaning so close to WC cos the ghost in white keeps staring at me. Haha I know he is not real but it's still scary!

Cheap-thrilling with the props around the ACM

Just realise it's halloween today.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FOLKS! :)

Choupinette

Brunch with YH last Sunday. We wanted to try out some places we have never tried before so Choupinette here we come!

It was pretty crowded for a weekend, but we were lucky to get a seat cos they do not take in reservations on weekend if you have less than 6 pax.

They have a wide array of bread and if you choose to have it in the cafe, they do heat up for you :)

My egg benedict. Looks pretty plain but the taste is much better than it looks :)

YH had the same, just that hers was done with smoked salmon.

The meal comes with a cuppa nice hot chocolate

Nono, I don't know her. She just happened to get in my picture when I tried to take a picture of the pretty tarts behind her.

Headed to Island Creamery after a really filling brunch. But what's a complete meal without dessert?

This is what I get when I say "Say Cheese!"

And a shot together cos we haven't taken a picture together for the longest time!
